“Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty? Job 11: 7
Who can know this all-powerful God in all His fullness? Who can understand this wise God whose thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are His ways our ways? (Isaiah 55: 8). Everything that we know of God is a drop in the bucket of His glory. All the understanding we can muster according to our capacities depends on pieces of Himself that He chooses to reveal to us in small doses.
We may not be able to complete a dissertation on the glory and fullness of God but from a glance at the events in our lives, we can proclaim like Ellen G. White, “The three great powers of heaven are working, a divine hand is on the wheel, and God will bring His purposes to pass.”
Whenever you are tempted to doubt the power and glory of God, consider Abraham and Sarah. She was almost 100 and an angel informed her that she would be with child. Impossible! Impossible based on science! Impossible based on nature! Impossible based on logic! But Sarah and Abraham’s “no siree” moment had God’s signature, “I’m Possible – God” written all over it! The angel said, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14). From Sarah’s account? No. From Joseph’s account? No. From Joshua’s account? No.
Let us not allow our inability to comprehend God’s omnipotence to force us to deny His omnipotence. With or without our approval – God is mighty. This powerful God cannot be limited or boxed in, labeled or owned. God can only be worshipped and experienced.
Today, remember that the power of God is stronger than any force or challenge that can ever be faced or experienced. The Lord “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power…” (Ephesians 3:20). He is able to do the impossible.
Your company can’t but God can. The empty feeling inside is strong but God is stronger. Your investments will not but God will. Your relationships can’t but God can. The demands are great but God is greater. Your intellectual capacity is good but God’s blessing is best. The adversity is large but God is larger. Your faith is weak but God is stronger.
Saturate your spirit in joy.
Expect the best.
God will do more than we can imagine or think.
He will neatly trace His loving signature, ‘“I’m possible” – God’ all over your life.
Scripture of the Week:
No one is like you, LORD; you are great, and your name is mighty in power. Jeremiah 10: 6
