Keep Me on Track

How do you stay on track when you are bombarded with distractions?

You live out Proverbs 3: 5,6, “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.” (MSG)

Scripture tells us to totally trust God from the bottom of our heart. When we trust God with every compartment of our hearts, we are like a mighty city that can stand against strongholds in this life and the spiritual realm. Trust in the Lord; not trust in another human being, our wisdom, our education, our experience, our logic, our inner circle ….Trust in the Lord.

The heart that trusts in the Lord is a peaceful one because its confidence is in the God who never changes. “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3: 6 (KJV) The heart that trusts God is a content one because it’s aware that Gods ways are better than best. “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work. God’s Decree” Isaiah 55: 8 (MSG) The heart that trusts God is a devoted one because trust in God cannot come about without a deep relationship with God. “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah 1: 18 (NIV) The heart that trusts in the Lord is a triumphant one because the One whom it rests in is victorious. “But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15: 57 (KJV). The heart that trusts God is a guided and guarded one because it is protected by the Mightiest. “Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.” Psalm 147: 5 (NIV)

Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go.

God is always speaking to us but we do not always listen. Open your spirit to the counsels of His Holy Spirit who will guide you into heavenly wisdom and understanding. Recognize His sovereignty – He knows what He’s doing. He knows what’s best for you. He can see the end result. Listen to Him. Can you hear God speaking through His Word, your coworker, that friend, that tweet, email? He speaks to us consistently and lovingly.

He’s the one who will keep you on track. Sometimes we wander off the track that leads to God’s intended favor. We become distracted and our curious feet take us along crooked paths. When we trust God and listen to Him, He directs and leads us to straight paths. The Lord makes the way clear as we move forward in faith. He is the one who leads us to paths that are Godly, good, honest and uplifting. And the One who can keep us on track is working ALL things together for our good…even when it is hard. God is working ALL things together for our good…even when it is lonely. God is working ALL things together for our good…even when things seem overwhelming. He is!

As you go through the day, internalize and live out Proverbs 3: 5, 6. There is power in the Word!
